Digital Rights Management (DRM) is an issue of controlling and managing digital rights over intellectual property. It has recently broadened its scope from being merely a content protection concern to description, identification, trading, protection, monitoring and tracking of rights over tangible or intangible assets. Do we need metamodels AND ontologies for engineering platforms?

In this paper we show how the joint use of metamodeling and ontologies allows to describe domain knowledge for a complex domain. Ontologies are used as stabilized descriptions of a business domain while metamodels allow a fine description of the domain (to be constructed in the initial phases of modeling). We propose to use an ontology for early categorization, i.e., as a "natural" complement of the formal system that is induced by the metamodel.

S-domain modeling of conducting post in rectangular waveguides by the BI-RME method

This paper describes the application of the Boundary Integral - Resonant Mode Expansion method to the modeling of a conducting post in a rectangular waveguide. The mathematical model of this structure is determined in a very short time, in the form of pole expansion of the Generalized Admittance Matrix in the s-domain. This model is very useful in the CAD of combline or interdigital filters.

Cardiac fibrosis and other scarring of the heart, arising from conditions ranging from myocardial infarction to ageing, promotes dangerous arrhythmias by blocking the healthy propagation of cardiac excitation. A multi-sphere particle numerical model for non-invasive investigations of neuronal human brain activity

In this paper, a multi-sphere particle method is built- up in order to estimate the solution of the Poisson's equation with Neumann boundary conditions describing the neuronal human brain activity. The partial difierential equations governing the relationships between neural current sources and the data produced by neuroimaging technique, are able to compute the scalp potential and magnetic fleld distributions generated by the neural activity. Sustained reentry in a 3d regionally ischemic human heart. A simulation study

In this work, we have studied the vulnerable window and propagation patterns in a human heart during acute ischemia. A 3-D biventricular model of a human heart with realistic heterogeneity and fiber orientations has been considered. The ischemic region was located in the anterior left ventricular wall mimicking the occlusion of the circumflex artery. The electrical activity of the tissue was modeled with the monodomain model along with a modified version of the ten Tusscher 2006 ionic model.
